Introduction

Welcome to Odett. These Terms govern your use of Odett, including our website, desktop app, and related services.

The service

Odett is a dictation app and service. It is not a public speech-to-text API.

You may only use the service through the official app or other interfaces we provide.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to it secure.

You must provide accurate account information and may not share, resell, or misuse access to the service.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Access or use our APIs outside the official app.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, automate, overload, or abuse the service.
  • Use the service for illegal, harmful, or infringing activity.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, security, or billing controls.
  • Resell the service as an API or infrastructure product.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe the service is being misused.

Usage limits

Plans may include usage limits. We aim to keep limits generous, but we may adjust limits to protect the service, prevent abuse, or keep the product sustainable.

Early access

The product may be offered as alpha, beta, or early access. During this period, features may change, break, disappear, or behave unexpectedly.

We appreciate feedback, and you allow us to use feedback to improve the product without obligation to compensate you.

User content

You are responsible for what you dictate and where you paste or use the resulting text.

The service may produce incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable output. You are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it.

Availability

We try to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect transcription, or error-free output.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made based on output from the service.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if continued access would create risk for us, other users, or the service.

Changes

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, unless mandatory consumer protection laws say otherwise.
